I'd heard lots of good things about Stapleton Guitars and their products, so decided to check them out for myself.
I needed a new P-bass pickup for a bass restoration.
My order was processed and delivered very quickly, it was impressive how fast it got to me.
The bass in question is a Yamaha BB1600 I bought new in 1991.
The new pickup is fantastic, warm and punchy, with plenty of that classic P-bass tone. Lots of fat low end, with excellent high end clarity.
It's partnered with a Wilkinson J-pickup I already had, and they work beautifully together.
I like to use fuzz and overdrive in some applications, and this pickup is perfect for delivering lots of growl and grunt, whilst still maintaining the unique tonal qualities of the instrument itself.
I will be buying from Stapleton's again, and I highly recommend their products.
